Borek Sipek “Tabule” Table 1992 Prototype

This table named ‘Tabule’ is a design from 1992 by the prominent Czech architect and designer Bořek Šípek (1949-2016). Known as the father of ‘neo-Baroque’ it embodies the very distinctive style of which he is known so well. He had offices in Prague, Shanghai and also in Amsterdam where he designed over 200 pieces exclusively for Steltman Galleries. Of the Tabule, which measures 280 cm long only 3 have been made including the prototype. This is the prototype. Provenance: Steltmann Galleries Amsterdam.
